Hydraulic
Capillary Infusion System
The
Hydraulic Capillary Infusion System was designed by us 23 years
ago. It has become the standard infusion system used by clinicians
and researchers around the world. Designed to replace the older
pump-syringe devices, this high fidelity, low infusion rate manometric
system is capable of accurate pressure measurements throughout
the esophageal body and oropharynx. Simple, low maintenance operation
makes this infusion system ideal for clinical esophageal, biliary,
anorectal and intestinal manometric studies. Highly accurate pressure
recording makes this infusion system a must for research in normal
and abnormal esophageal physiology.
1
No Moving Parts.
Therefore, extremely reliable and simple to operate, with little
maintenance necessary.
2
A Simple, Self-Contained Unit.
Pressure transducers attach directly to infusion system. No
need for separate transducer stand or complicated plumbing interface.
3 low Infusion Rates.
Allows accurate pressure measurements throughout the esophagus
and oropharynx. Because of low infusion rate, there is no patient
discomfort encountered in oropharynx.
4
large Water Reservoir.
There is no need to refill water reservoir during manometric
study.
5
Designed for Small Bore Catheters.
As the catheter internal diameter is reduced, the Hydraulic
Capillary Infusion System actually performs better. Result: Small
extruded catheters are practical with the added advantage of better
performance.
